COUPLE SOLD ON COVINGTON VILLAGE FROM DAY ONE
Make no mistake; Audrey Gallant never wanted to leave the Staten Island home she shared for 30 years with husband, Harvey. However, when destiny began to call—and with a little help from Harvey who was ready for maintenance-free living—the retirees were intent on finding a neighborhood that mimicked the friendly atmosphere and wooded environment to which they had become accustomed while raising their family.
It didn’t take long, as Audrey recalled. “Even though I didn’t want to move in the first place and we weren’t really looking for a new home, I gave into Harvey one day and we responded to an ad in our local paper about Covington Village. We took the short drive down, toured the models, and decided that when the time was right, this would be the place. We never even gave another community any serious thought. As a matter of fact, since we moved in last June, I recommended Covington Village to some friends from our old neighborhood and they purchased here as well.”
Though minimal maintenance and convenience were key components of the Gallant’s decision to purchase, it was the physical nature of the community that clearly distinguished Covington Village. “Our old neighborhood was surrounded by protected woodlands just like Covington Village,” said Audrey. “That was important to us for privacy, but there is also the convenience. We live only a few minutes from our granddaughter who attends Georgian Court University. She always visits, and so does the rest of our family. And there are so many places to shop around here, it’s incredible!”
Harvey noted his appreciation of the customer services that the couple received from the professionals at Matzel Development. “Michelle and Louise (Sales Associates) were totally accommodating to us at every time and in every way,” he said. “That says a lot about Matzel Development as an organization.
Audrey also cited the spaciousness of her home, which is the two bedroom, two bath Caspian design. “We never thought we could fit all the furniture from the old house into a condominium, but we were wrong about that. What we were very right about was deciding to move here. We love everything about it; our new home, the friends and neighbors we’ve met and how much there is to do at the clubhouse all year long.”
In addition to the Caspian, homebuyers can choose from a one bedroom or one bedroom with den home design.
