BRISTOL STATION BUILDER RECEIVES NEW JERSEY D.A.R.E. AWARD
TRENTON, NJ—Greg Matzel, the President of Matzel Development and builder of the new Bristol Station apartment community in Carteret, was a co-recipient of the D.A.R.E. Future of New Jersey Award at a recent ceremony in Trenton. Along with Carteret’s Mayor, the Honorable Daniel Reiman, Matzel accepted the honor on behalf of his Ocean Township Based company, which regularly supports worthy charitable causes.
“Especially in today’s world, teenagers need help in taking steps to avoid drug use and its potentially devastating effect on their families, friends and classmates” said Matzel. “Working with law enforcement and schools, New Jersey D.A.R.E. is leading the way in an effort to steer our young people in the right direction.”
Since 1994, the D.A.R.E. Board of Directors has awarded participants who have shown outstanding leadership in promoting drug-free lifestyles to New Jersey adolescents. Past recipients have included former Governor James E. McGreevey, former Jersey City Mayor Brett Schundler, and former First Gentleman John Whitman. For more information, log onto www.darenj.com.
